Ronald “Ron” Zigan

Ronald “Ron” Zigan

Ronald “Ron” Zigan, age 61, ended his long battle with cancer peacefully on December 17, 2014 at the Banner Gardens Hospice Home in Mesa, AZ.

Ron was born on May 16, 1953 in Hayward, California to Leo and Mable “May” (Brown) Zigan.  At the age of 8, they moved to Chico, California. He married Muriel “Molly” Long in Grand Ridge, IL on November 23, 1985.  They have two beautiful and strong children, Amanda Zigan, Marshalltown, IA and Kyle Zigan, Chandler, AZ. He was the brother of three siblings. Two sisters, the late Diane (Jerry) Johnson of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, and Carol (Tom) Leftwich of Prescott, AZ, a brother to Doug (Michelle) Zigan of Paradise, CA.  Uncle to nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both his father and mother, and his beloved sister Diane.

Ron’s career as a salesman and sales manager in the RV resort industry took him and his family to many places across the country.  He thoroughly enjoyed his career and all the people he met along the way. His passions were fishing, sports (mainly the SF Giants and SF 49ers!), nature, and the best yard on the block!

His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread at one of his favorite fishing spots in beautiful northern California.  So to honor those wishes, the family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the family at this time.

I had the pleasure of working with Molly at a dental clinic in Chico. There I met her wonderful husband Ron and her children Amanda and Kyle. The love of this family has for each other is amazing and Molly was always making sure that each weekend they did something together out of the house to enjoy the day and each others company. Ron will be missed by many. He fought a long battle and in the end God has gained a foot soldier in Heaven. God Bless Ron and watch over Molly, Amanda and Kyle. My love to all. Barb

    Dear Molly and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I often remember all the good times we had at All Seasons Resorts, and the parties we all attended. God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.
