Obituary

NYIKES, Joseph H. (Joe) 75, of Mesa, Az. passed away at home Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Joe was born in Monroe, MI. to Joseph I. and Dorothy A. Nyikes. After graduating from Monroe Catholic Central, he would later move to Arizona and build his home in East Mesa. Joe was a master plumber for many years before retiring from RWCD as a Field Superintendent. In 1976, Joe married his beloved Cathy and they spent the next 30 years enjoying many adventures, family, friends, and each other until Cathy’s passing in 2006. In June of 2011, Joe wed his friend Joyce Green who loved and cared for him until his death. Joe was truly one of the good guys and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joe is survived by brothers Ross, San Diego, CA. Mike, St. Louis, MO, John, Roseville, CA., Paul, Columbus, OH, sister Barbara, NYC, NY. Step Sons, Ken Simpson (Sandy), Lee Simpson (Meredith), Herb Beck, 9 grandchildren, & 13 Great Grandchildren.

Dear Family, I would like to express my sincere condolences at the loss of your dear loved one. Please be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is “healing the broken-hearted ones and is binding up their painful spot (Psalm 147:3). May the “Father of tender mercies” and the “God of all comfort” strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead (2 Corinthians 1:3). My sincere condolences to the family.

An older brother always helping Mom & Day make an old home a place of comfort and then you were gone, missed but never forgotten, never forgotten and always loved….
