  1. Wesley and Shirley were associate pastors at a small Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, TX in the fall of 1966. Charles V. Davis was the pastor. We were only there for a little more than two months while I completed Air Force technical training at Amarillo AFB. Wesley wrote a beautiful worship chorus (before they were called worship choruses) from the Psalms, “O Lord my God, how excellent thy name, in all the earth.” I was reading my Bible the other day and came across the verse. It made me think of Wesley and I did a Google search to find him. I am sorry for the family’s loss, although our paths never crossed again. I was hoping to find a copy of his beautiful chorus so we could teach it to the congregation at our church in Luling, TX. If anyone in the family has a copy, I would enjoy having it and keeping alive the memory of the author.
